"Q"
Why should I book with Whole World of Travel?
"A"
Whole World of Travel is one of the largest sellers of cruises,
providing the best value for your cruising dollar. We have been
in business since 1983 and are members of the Northern California
Better Business Bureau.
"Q" How
does Whole World of Travel get such good deals?:
"A"
Because we are one of the largest sellers, we get deals
that are not available to the general public. These are not
standby rates where you may not get on the ship but are
confirmed bookings at discounted rates. By selling in large
volume, we are able to pass the savings on to the passengers.
"Q" How
do I know what airline I will be on and my schedule?
"A" We get air schedules from the cruise line about 3 weeks prior to your
departure. The cruise line can choose to put you on any airline
and any schedule to coincide with your cruise. If you need to know an air schedule earlier, ask your
cruise counselor about an air deviation. You can also request an
air deviation to go early or stay late for your cruise. There is
a service charge from the cruise line for this service.
"Q" I am
single. Do I have to pay extra?
"A"
Our prices are per person based on double occupancy. Single
occupancy cabins can be 125% to 200% of the double occupancy
fare. However; all sailings vary. We do not match single
people with other singles.
"Q" What
are the added fees, tax?
"A"
All cruises have fees and taxes that are due from each passenger such as airline tax, customs user fees, passenger
facility charges, fuel surcharges, service charges, and such that are added to
your cruise cost. These are charged to all passengers and are
subject to change.
"Q" What
is not included in your price?
"A" Whole
World of Travel does not include tips, personal services on board the
ship, shipboard purchases, shore excursion, bar purchases. These
are charged to your shipboard account and paid on board the
ship. There may be some additional miscellaneous charges that
will need to be paid such as airport exit fees. Any shore
purchases are not included, of course.
"Q" Do I
need a passport?
"A"
Valid passports are required for all travel to or from any foreign
country including Mexico, Canada, Caribbean, etc. In some
cases visas may also be required and there may be a charge for the
visa.
Citizens of other countries will
need to check with the consulate of the countries that they are
intending to visit to find out what documentation in addition to
passport is required. They are also responsible for proper
documentation to leave and enter the United States.
Note: First and last names
on your booking must be spelled as they are on your passport.
"Q" What
do I do to make a booking?
"A"
When you call our office to make a booking, your cruise counselor will
ask for the names of people traveling. We will also need your
address, phone number, and some general booking information. A
deposit or full payment is required at the time of booking. Full
payment may be due if the cruise is booked within 100 days of
sailing. In most cases payments can be made by credit
card. Deposits can be made by personal check, but it may delay
the booking as we must receive the check prior to
confirmation.
The amount of deposit and the
payment schedule vary by cruise line and itinerary. Typically 7
night cruises require a deposit of $250 per person. Longer
cruises generally require a $450 per person deposit. Full
payments are due between 65 and 100 days prior to sailing.
